The facilities the Register offers are extensive and include full registrations, bareboat registrations, provisional registrations and the registration of yachts and ships under construction. Geographically, Gibraltar is well situated at the entrance to the Mediterranean and is classed as an EU Member States Register.

The advantages of registering in Gibraltar are numerous and apart from including the above include fiscal advantages and the fact that Gibraltar’s Maritime legal system is well established and modelled on the English legal system. Companies or legal entities incorporated locally or under the laws of another member state of the European Union are qualified to own vessels locally. In addition, foreign maritime entities may be registered at both the Yacht and Ship Registries.
